The First Service Automation Foundation Class
Apr 25, 2017
On May 21, our certified partner Pink Elephant hosted the first Service Automation Foundation class in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The room was packed with 25 students, all eager to be part of the first batch of officially accredited Service Automation practitioners in the world.
The course was taught by Jan-Willem Middelburg, author of the Service Automation Framework book and took the course participants through all six stages of the Service Automation Framework. At the final day of class, all delegates took the exam, which was administered by APMG-International. All 25 delegates passed the examination, making them the first official Service Automation Practitioners in the world.

Commenting on the first class in the world, José Stijntjes – Managing Director of the Service Automation Framework Alliance – commented: “We are very happy that the Service Automation Foundation program has now kicked off with a first successful training course in Asia. After working on the training program for more than a year, we are very pleased that the course content addresses real organizational challenges. Many delegates were very inspired by the practical approach of the framework.”
The first SAF course in Asia marks the official launch of the Service Automation Framework certification scheme, as developed by the Service Automation Framework Alliance and APMG-International.
The Service Automation Framework is an independent body of knowledge for the advancement of automation best practices.
